In the event we end up in Israel this spring, we decided we'd like to go somewhere else as long as we're that far away anyway. Greg really wants to go to Egypt and see the pyramids, and I really want to travel through Europe to Vatican City and see La Pieta.
I totally win, right?
Egypt is probably cheaper, and obviously closer, but I feel like there would be more things to do/see in Italy and along the way. I know he really really wants it though. Should I give in, and just leave Europe to be explored on its own some other time (I know an entire continent probably deserves more than the week/two we'd likely give it)?
This is lame, because I know enough about the middle east to know it isn't like the media kind of wants you to believe... I kind of feel like I'm being offensive by even feeling uncomfortable about it though. But deep inside I am not into it.
